Terms & Conditions

  1. Enrollment and payment

To secure a place in the theatre course, full payment or a 1st term payment is required . By enrolling, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions and the Code of Conduct, as found on our website.           

Some courses and workshops are offered with the possibility of multiple instalments. Payment is always due in full, even if the entirety of the event is not enjoyed. This concerns participants that would not attend—or not attend fully—a workshop, interrupt a course or stop attending it, 

Before the start of the course, the participant receives an invitation letter. This includes information about the instalment deadlines, a reminder of the amount already paid as well as what is left. In case of delay in the payment, Improv Utrecht will send a manual reminder. If the payment is not completed, access to the course, workshop or show will be denied.

Your ticket has VAT specifications on it. VAT is 21% for courses and workshops and 9% for shows. If you need an invoice with other billing specifications please contact the school administration by e-mail.

  1. Course cancellation, rescheduling or changes made by us

The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the course schedule, location, or instructors if necessary. These changes do not entitle participants to a refund unless the changes significantly alter the nature of the course.

Courses and workshops usually require to have a minimum of 8 participants. If we expect that the minimum number of participants will not be reached we will inform you 2 weeks before the start, and again 1 week before the start, unless otherwise communicated.

If the course is cancelled or rescheduled by the organizers, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another course of equal value. Partial refunds may be considered if the participant cannot attend the rescheduled dates.

  1. Refund policy

Tickets for a show are not refundable.

Students that wish to cancel their subscription to a course or a workshop can request a refund following the conditions below:
– Up to 2 weeks before the start of the course: full refund
– 2 weeks or less before the start of the course: 50% of the fee refunded
– from the start of the course: no refund

Once the course or workshop had started, no refund, pro-rata refund or partial price will be accepted for classes missed or cancellations during the period of the activity.

  1. Cancellation and refund request process

To cancel or to request a partial refund, participants must submit an e-mail to Improv Utrecht at info@theatersportworkshops.nl. The request should include the reason for cancellation or withdrawal.

If a participant is unable to attend the course, they may request to transfer their enrollment to another individual. Such requests must be made in writing at least 2 days before the course start date and are subject to approval by the administration and trainer. No refunds will be provided in case a transfer is not possible.

An administrative fee of €4 might be deducted from the refunds granted.

  1. Financial help

 If you think you are at a point in your life where you cannot afford the above payment conditions, contact us explaining how we can help at Marieke van Laar, info@theatersportworkshops.nl . We offer a 20% discount on 1 or 2 tickets per course or workshop for participants with less finances. You don’t have to explain your financial situation, just contact us and let us know when we can make a discount ticket available for you.

 

 

Policy for Workplace Events and Workshops

Proposals are non-committal and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. When a proposal is accepted, the supplier is not required to accept changes by the client, unless confirmed in writing.

Prices in the proposal are excluding VAT, 21% for training and workshops, 9% for performances, unless stated differently. Prices are excluded optional travel expenses, which are also subject to the same percentage of VAT.

Payment term for all company or workplace events is 31 days from the date of the invoice. Improv Utrecht will send an invoice to the contact person who arranged to deliver the workshop. It is the responsibility of that person to provide us an alternative billing address at the time of finalising the workshop details.

Cancellations

The client may cancel or postpone a workplace workshop by written / email notification to info@theatersportworkshops.nl. Cancellations or postponement up to 4 weeks before the workshop will not be charged, provided that the supplier hasn’t made any costs yet. Cancellations or postponement between 4 weeks and 5 working days will be charged at 50% of the agreed costs. Cancellations or postponement within 5 working days of the workplace workshop date will be charged the full fee. 

The supplier is entitled to cancel the course or refuse participation by the client or by the participant designated by the client, in which case the client is not under the obligation to make the agreed payment. The supplier will always try to propose a substitute solution, substitute supplier of equal of higher quality, in written agreement with the client.
