IMPROV THEATRE

Courses & classes

We offer courses and drop in classes for everyone. No previous experience in improv, acting, or comedy is needed, and complete beginners are very welcome. Our professional and experienced trainers create an open, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable learning and playing together.

Shows

Many of our courses end with a graduation show, often followed by an open jam. During the jam, audience members are invited to join in and play simple improv games on stage in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Community

Improv Utrecht is a great way to meet new people and make friends. Improvisers are often optimistic, curious, and open minded. We regularly go for drinks together on Friday evenings after the drop in classes, usually at O’Leary’s pub. We also support each other by attending shows and visiting other theatre and comedy events around the city. During the summer, we host Theatresports in the park.

Corporate training

Improvisation is widely recognised as an important skill for modern working life and is taught in schools, MBA programmes, and leadership development courses. We offer leadership training, team building sessions, and improv comedy shows for events. Your team will laugh a lot, learn a lot, and share an experience they will not forget.
